This will be a short post to catch up Edinburgh.
Last seen
downing cocktails with TE10 before their 5:30 dinner call, We4 adjourned
to The
Schooner bar for more Happy Hour with Super-Waiter XXX and his generous
pours. He really has mastered Chucky’s
Bone dry Dewar’s Rob Roy…oooohhh soooo good.
Dinner
was another exercise in “let’s see what mystery comes outta the galley
tonight.” Donna was not taking any
chances having previously arranged with Revellino the Head Waiter to get a bowl
of Bolognaise Ragu, Lenny tried the Fish and Dragon Granny also tried the
Fish. Chucky wasn’t hot on anything on
the menu but tried the Mushroom soup that was OK, and then some linguini with a side of the Bolognaise and some grilled shrimp. Dessert was another challenge for the pastry
department as the Crème Brulee came out like soup with little caramelized sugar
topping. The substitute cheese cake was
no better. This is really becoming disappointing.
Cocktails
in the Casino and then to the Schooner for piano bar stuff with Enselmo, a
fabulous entertainer with a 3 octave range and a repertoire that is expansive.
Of course
when he tried some Bobby Darin [Mack the Knife] We4 coaxed Chucky to get up with
Enselmo and sing it the right way, albeit a bit gravely ala Louis Armstrong as
his throat was having the usual issues.
Nightcaps
in hand We4 headed to their cabins as Chucky and DL had an early tour to the
Edinburgh Castle and roundabout Edinburgh.
More on
that tomorrow. This is 4 days behind and
after a rigorous tour in great weather, it’s time to crash.
Ciao 4 Now

Chuck & The unhappy with the menu,
